Photo
Information:
Remember when taking your photos,
make sure there is plenty of light, so that you can show all the detail!
Photos must be digital. Should be a good quality
digital camera.
Exterior photos: (8-12 photos) Get all different angles of the
exterior. Make sure that you are close
to the vehicle. Also take a few shots
looking down the sides of the car to show if the vehicle is straight (without
any dings or waves).
Interior photos: (4-8 photos) Try to capture the seats, carpet, door
jams, headliner, gauges, and dash area.
Engine photos:
(3-6 photos). Take several photos
of the engine compartment from different angles.
Undercarriage photos: (4-6 photos).
We think that these are the most important photos of your auction. Nine times out of then people listing a car
will not have any pictures of the undercarriage. Would you buy a car without seeing the
underside? We want to show and describe
your vehicle as actuate as we can. Take
the car to your local mechanic, and ask if he can put the car on the lift).
Trunk photos:
(2-3 photos). We are looking for
shots under the mat, jack tools, spare tire, and the weather stripping.
Miscellaneous photos: Here are some good misc. photo ideas: A close up on: wheel covers, tires, VIN tag, odometer, and
other points of interest. It’s a good
idea to take a photo(s) of problem areas that you may have mentioned in t he
listing. Seat rips,
paint scratches, pitting of chrome or broken glass. This will help the bidder better understand
the condition of the car.
Documentation photos: If you have any paper work, (window sticker,
build sheet, or protect-o-plate) or if you can get a
close up photo on a “trim tag” for those matching numbers cars.
